Xiao is a 4th-year undergraduate studying mechanical engineering. Within the HRVIP lab, his work supports the development of computer vision and machine learning models for space applications.

He is one of the Structures Leads at the Space and Satellite Systems club and has worked on many key aspects of the REALOP One Cubesat.

Outside of academics, he enjoys developing video games, playing the guitar, reading science-fiction, exercising, and building robots.
