During her time at the HRVIP lab, Lauren used CNC milling to manufacture the precision airfoil for Sam Morice’s master’s project in viscous flow control for stall management using intelligent vortex generators. Since graduating, Lauren has continued in manufacturing, working for Apple as a manufacturing design engineer on the Watch team. One of her projects, the Braided Solo Loop band, has made it onto the ISS, worn by Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi.
