Ben Eichholz
Bio

Ben has had a lifelong interest in all things space and human systems engineering. He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in December 2019 and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in December 2020, both from North Dakota State University. During his time at NDSU, he worked on many research projects that fall under both of those interests, ranging from CubeSats to cardiovascular fluid dynamics to 3-D printing projects supported by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Now at UC Davis, Ben plans to combine his interests in space science and human systems engineering through Ph.D. research in human-machine integration while a member of HRVIP. As well, he spent two summers during his time at NDSU interning as a hardware engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems in Bloomington, MN.

Outside of research and academics, Ben loves to spend time outdoors hiking, SCUBA diving and rock climbing. He also enjoys spending time in the gym and is an avid runner, mainly running marathons and ultramarathons.
